Advantages

Reciprocity: Interior designer participants taking approved Associate member courses can receive automatic credit for CEU requirements with any IDCEC organization in the United States and Canada (ASID, IDC, IIDA, IDEC). Conversely, if Associate member desires, the assocate member organization can award their required CEU credit to individuals who take any or selected associate members-approved courses.

Associate member courses are automatically approved for state CEU requirements in those states where IDCEC courses are universally accepted such as New Mexico, Missouri, and Florida.

Associate members may approve their own CEU courses for IDCEC credit that are offered only one time (such as those associated with conferences). Courses seeking IDCEC credit that are offered repeatedly are subject to review by the fellow IDCEC organizations using a simple proposal process.
